Produced by Lynn Torgove, stage director.  Griffelkin, a child-devil, on his tenth birthday in Hell, receives a gift in the form of a trip to the world.  Armed with a bottle of magic liquid, he arrives in Manhattan where has been charged with changing the world into Hell!!   His mission is corrupted when he discovers all things human – including love, motherhood, and death.  5pm, Kresge Auditorium. Gamelan13 | Sat | MIT Gamelan Galak Tika, Evan Ziporyn, director.  Gamelan Galak Tika performs new compositions for gamelan gong kebyar at Kresge Auditorium. The concert will feature Sam Schmetterer’s Slow Down (2014), Pete Steele’s Sudamala (2014), in addition to the traditional Balinese dance pieces, Puspanjali (1988) and Topeng Tua. Special guests on this program include dancer Shoko Yamamuro and the MIT Gamelan Banyuwangi, directed by Christine Southworth and Evan Ziporyn. The MIT Gamelan Banyuwangi will perform Padang Ulan, a traditional piece from Banyuwangi, Java.  8pm, Kresge  Auditorium.
